dander is in the allergy tests (yes, I am very allergic), but not all of them include the protein from the saliva test. At least here. I don't know if it is a new thing or what. Unless the food is wildly expensive, I didn't check, it might not hurt to try it for a few months then clean your house very well to get rid of all the old hairs left here and there.
