One big grateful today. This afternoon was very special. All the kids, grandkids and the great-grandkid got together to celebrate my daughter's birthday (today) and mine (Wednesday). It was so enjoyable to have them all together and they all seemed to have fun.

It was bittersweet. It has been very hard to get everyone together for the last three years already. We have 4 that are essential workers, and at least one or more seem to be on call during holidays. It is about to get worse since the two oldest boys are moving to jobs in different states, and they and their spouses have divided parental units, plus they both have two sets of grandparents when they come back to town. It will be hard for them to to get to see everyone and they will have to switch up holidays if they do get home.

We are getting new flooring, so we have decided, since the roof, paint, AC units, and carpet will all be new within 14 months, to just list it for sale and get something smaller. We just haven't decided where we want to buy, but we want to be somewhere with less crime. That will put another stopper in getting people together all at one time. I am glad that we had this day and it was so enjoyable.
