My grandson got home safely about 4:00 AM this morning. He had to stop on the way home and take a nap because he couldn't stay awake after working three days in another state with hardly any sleep, then the company told him that they had to have the samples he was carrying within 8 hours of it being pulled, when it was 5 hours away from headquarters and had him stop at two other places to pick up samples because he was "coming through anyway".

My husband's A1C results came back this morning at 7.1! That is the best he has seen since a medication gave him pancreatitis and killed his pancreas so that he had to go on insulin. It is usually in the 9s since then, even with insulin.

He had a 6-month check-up with the cardiologist today. He was told that he had one of the best results from CABG that they have ever had, and his heart was still clear and looking good. Of course, he was told 5 years before that surgery that he had the arteries and heart of a 30-something-year-old. Then the medication from hell that not only killed his pancreas it caused/allowed(?) his arteries to suddenly clog around his heart from inflammation in his arteries. Grateful that he can claw back some ground.

The great-grandbaby started acting more like himself last night and hasn't run a fever in almost 24 hours. Hopefully, his pneumonia is on the mend and he will recover completely.
