I used to have several pairs of giant turtles in my area at the zoo. It was always amazing to watch them. I gotta tell you, though, they were so determined that nothing got in their way. When we took the food out, they would either plow through any obstacles with great force. If that didn't work, they would hunt a way over or around it, or they would dig underneath it. Nothing ever stopped them from getting what they wanted. I was surprised that two pairs would stay in their enclosure. We just made it so sweet for them that they didn't want to leave.
