Saw surgeon yesterday. He questioned whether or not the wound still needs packing. He took the nurse's shower-proof dressing off and replaced it with just a gauze dressing. Mixed feelings about this. I can't take a shower with a gauze dressing BUT this gets me closer to just needing a dressing that Bill can apply and I won't be considered home bound anymore. In fact, Bill is going to have to do it today because I have to take a shower before I see the doctor at 4. She's going to be checking out the skin tears under my overhang.

Had to pause with grats because my neighbor just came over to tell me he patched the roof of my shed after a neighbor's tree branch fell through it yesterday. Yet a third neighbor came over yesterday around 2 and showed me what had happened. I had no clue. I hadn’t decided what I was going to do but at Joanne's direction, Robert cut the big branch out and patched the roof. There's still a little hole in the door where the tip pushed through. I've been waiting for this to happen for the past 3-4 years. The tree was mostly dead and I never understood why she didn't have it taken down. Law is that you are responsible for damage on your property even if it's from a neighbor's tree. I'm always afraid that one of the dogs or one of us will be hit by one of these huge missiles.
