Going to the office this morning. Nervous but also happy because this is a hallmark of my recovery. Little did I know at the very beginning of June when I walked out of the office for surgery on June 5th, saying, "I should be back in 2 weeks" that it would actually be 4 long months. Feels heavy when I think of the optimism I felt way back then and what I've actually been through. Not feeling sorry for myself, just sort of sad as I remember really hard and scary moments.

That said, I leave for Nice 3 weeks from tomorrow!

I don't weigh 280 anymore tho I was up THREE pounds this morning through no fault of my own.

I made these yummy shrimp foil wraps from Skinnytaste. So good !

It is Carin's 52nd birthday today. She seems genuinely happy. Hope it stays that way. I am so grateful for her. She makes my aging feel less scary.
