All the family came from different places again. It was helpful to have them here. Mike and I planned a meaningful funeral. It focused a lot on Murray, the kind of person he was, what he meant to others and so much more. The minister did a good service. Along with the helpful religous readings and thoughts ...
he included how he got the nickhame 'Murray' that he had for his whole life. His given name is James/Jim... but, most people knew him as Murray. Funny story .. I'll tell it sometime.
The minister mentioned our awful, crazy wedding during the blizzard of 1978.... a few choice/funny tidbits had people laughing... proving it's not the wedding, but the marriage.
People drove in from many places. My cousins Lou and Erica (my age) drive from Baltimore total 16+ houea to Lansing. Others from Columbus too. I was touched.
It was so touching and helpful to see many people come to the funeral. All the hugs, crying, telling stories, love, as family and I greeted people.
Now everyone is gone. And life begins without him. I have friends and family and my 'service cat'
. Princess Molly is still waiting for to come home, I think. I am sad for her.
I appreciate all your love and support thru this. You are my sisters. I love you,
