It can be made "lighter" by using your favorite sugar substitute, low-fat cream cheese and lite Cool Whip. Even then it is not healthy but a slice of it for a holiday gathering is kinda nice. I always liked to use fresh sliced strawberries but it is still good as written. The salty and sweet is a nice balance.
