I hate that you are planning on spending the holidays alone, but truth to tell, if my family is not involved or a very close friend (and all my closest friends have moved away or passed away in the past few years, and I haven't made the effort to make new close friends), I would rather spend holidays alone. Tell me I am becoming a Scrooge but that is how I feel.
