Is it really Wednesday? Wow!

Feeling better. We were going to the lake on Friday, but we didn't make it. I have been totally out of it with the flu since Friday morning in the wee hours. I don't know anyone with the flu, so I don't know where I got it. I have only been to the Gastro on Monday of last week, and I wore a mask, except for Thanksgiving on Thursday. They say that we got the wrong flu shot this year, but it will make the flu milder if we get it. If it were any worse, I don't think I would have made it. I haven't even been able to function. Still have some respiratory problems and coughing, sounds like there is air going through my head, and I am very weak, but I at least feel present. Unfortunately, my husband couldn't get warm last night, so he is probably coming down with it. Be careful out there, folks, even if you got a flu shot!

Thanksgiving was great! I cherish our times together.

My husband tells me that my next-to-youngest grandson got his first job. So bittersweet.

My youngest grandson is driving now. More bittersweetness.

My husband cooked the turkey carcass and made Colonial Williamsburg soup to sustain me while I was sick. Even though it is so delicious, I was only able to eat about a cup to a cup and a half each day before I was out again. I am sure that I will make up for it now that I am feeling better.
