my insurance has implemented some crazy new policies every July, the beginning of their fiscal year. It was fine for 3 years, then the craziness started. The first year, they changed the prices I would pay for drugs starting in August. I only had another month until I met my cap, so I didn't think anything about it. The next year, in January, they changed it back. This year, they did the no Urgent Care/have to be admitted for them to pay ER thing in August. So far, my husband's policy has not changed mid-stream. They did cut out the $100 per month card for OTC things, glasses, and dental co-pays on new policies, but it is stated out front when you sign up this year. I won't have it jerked out mid-year after getting used to having it.
