it was my son and his wife. They are very chill about things that are bothersome, possibly to the detriment of their health and well-being, who knows. My daughter is very high-strung and doesn't deal well with stressors, so she would have been fit to be tied in that situation. She would have done something stupid, like renting a car and driving in the bad storms and fog.

I love that I have a good relationship with my grandkids. My daughter talked my husband into letting her come to the office and work two weeks after having her oldest because being home was making her stir crazy (very ADD), and I kept him. After I had two major operations in a year, my husband had heart surgery, and my mother moved in for about a year to have some surgeries she had gotten a divorce, so she and the boys moved in with us to help out. She let a friend rent her house for 6 months, which turned into them wanting to stay there for years, and she just stayed there for six years. We are very close to those boys.
