I have a self-cleaning oven and had cleaned it before I knew that we were not having Thanksgiving here. I also have a silicone sheet on the bottom. If you don't have one of these, get one, they save so much work. We had just spilled something on the door, then cooked it as we cooked whatever it was. It was a mess. I put the paste on with a basting brush, let it dry, rubbed it up in a pile, and scooped it up, rinsed the glass with a clean cloth, voila, clean door without scrubbing.
