I got out of the habit of being on the internet while we were gone. I was getting a bit too dependent on it to entertain me when I get bored so I hope I don't get back into it too much.

Hired someone today to sheetrock the old cabin. We got a good price to do it. We were going to have it done and expand the size in the fall, but after finding the new one, we decided to wait until there was no furniture there. We bought it with a vision of what it could look like instead of how it looked. It has dark 70s paneling in all the rooms and those funky 1-foot square ceiling tiles. We couldn't match the ceiling tiles when the tree went through the roof. We just bought the closest we could get to get us through to fall. I can't wait to see how it turns out lighter and brighter. I'll miss it. I love that little house, even ugly. It has so much potential.

Weathermen are thinking that we will get snow instead of the usual ice storm from the Arctic blast headed our way. I hope they are right.

Laundry done for the week. I keep meaning to go back to doing a load a day like I did when I worked, but it is so satisfying to get all of it done at once.

Sleeping on freshly washed sheets. They always feel so good.
