Mississippi is worse off because the northern part of the state got constant freezing rain from Friday night until Sunday night. They had over an inch of ice on everything so everything is coming down everywhere. Some places have lots of hills and several inches of ice. They salted before it started, but it didn't help. They tried bulldozers and plows to scrape the interstates, but that didn't help. Since we are supposed to get more cold weather and possibly snow or ice starting tomorrow night, they are bringing in those machines that chew up asphalt, hoping it can chew the ice without hurting the pavement. Things got better yesterday, but after last night, it was even worse. I just wish people would stay home, but if not, at least don't park in the middle of the interstate and go to sleep.
