My surgery was so long ago...23 years!
What I know about me today is that I have to eat things I like and make adjustments throughout the day. For instance, if I want a really high calorie bf (ie pancakes, syrup, butter, potatoes, eggs...), I'm going to have it even if it means I only have 200 calories for the rest of the day. I know that doesn't take into account the carb, protein, fats, etc (even though I am diligent about that on my app). It's the only thing that works for me at this almost 72 years of life.
It probably will slow weight loss down, but I'm not in a hurry (yes, it would be great to hit 225). I need to do my damn PT exercises and walk more, or swim. There is nothing I can do in terms of upper body because my elbows are so bad that I have difficulty lifting my coffee cup some mornings. It's me doing me. Sick of recommendations of what I need to be doing, no matter how well-intended. AND, I don't see your post as one of those!
