The security alarm woke me up this morning. It sometimes does that when it gets cold suddenly, we can't find anyone to explain why. I checked the cameras, and all was well. My husband was up so I thought he had forgotten to turn it off when he let Poppy out. I found him sitting on the couch, completely oblivious to the alarm, and he snapped at me when I asked if he didn't hear it. Then he got mad at me and told me I was imagining it. This thing is LOUD. I realized quickly that his sugar was very low. He knew it was low when he woke up, but had taken glucose and thought he had taken care of it. NOT. I am glad that the alarm went off. He was 40 even after the glucose.
After he was sorted, I took POppy out. After having a week in the 70s it was so cold to us at 23. We didn't have but about 30 minutes until we had to be up, but I crawled back under the covers to warm up. Poppy jumped up in the bed beside me and cuddled up as close as she could get because she was cold. She didn't even get up when my husband came to take a shower or when I got up. She finally got warm enough and went to curl up in the living room window to watch the squirrels.
I have been stalled in getting my steps up since I had COVID earlier in the year. When I hit 5,000 I would get so exhausted that my legs would give out. This past week I have managed to get almost 7,000 consistently and have also felt stronger. I was beginning to think that I would never get my strength and stamina back. I am finding that every tie it takes 6-7 months to get back to where I was before I got it.
I did some mending yesterday. I usually hate mending but I actually enjoyed it and it made me want to get back to quilt making again and I have a few other sewing projects that I want to do.
