was not in as much pain. As the pain lowers, he will probably be able to do more, and the more he does, hopefully, the more his bowels work. I never have a problem with it except after anesthesia. Hopefully, you can get him to drink lots of water and get that anesthesia out of his system. I had a doctor tell me once that the reason we aren't allowed to drive after surgery is not the surgery itself, some of the time, but the anesthesia still being in our bodies. I don't know how much we can trust that explanation, but if it is true, that is some powerful stuff.
