Our daughter had two seizures last night. She says that she feels fine today. Her husband was at work, so the kids called an ambulance. EMTs took her to the hospital after the first one because, though she has always been lucid before, even after CPR, she couldn't answer basic questions last night. By the time she got there, she was alert and could answer their questions, so they sent her home. She had another one about an hour after getting home. They still have no clue what is causing them, and she is still waiting until August for someone to have an opening.
Her youngest son had an accident the night before. He was trying to change lanes on the interstate and had a car in his blind spot that he clipped. Grateful that no one was hurt, there was only minor damage to both cars, and it didn't cause another accident. Also grateful that it woke him up.
Saw a kid today who used to hang out with our oldest grandson from the time they were preschoolers until they graduated, and our grandson moved away. He has spent many days and nights under our roof. He was always a sweet kid, but painfully shy. He communicated in one-word answers and never volunteered to talk back then, even in his family. It was good to see him and also to see that he has turned into a confident young man who held a long conversation, is very personable, and is doing well for himself.
Our son came to check on his dad today. My husband was telling him last night that the generator said it needed a new battery when it tested on Wednesday, and that he was going to have to get one when he feels better. Son stopped on the way and bought a new battery and installed it when he got here, as well as taking our empty propane tanks to get them filled, because he didn't want his dad carrying them yet.
