Grandkids that are always there when we need them, usually without us asking.
Our daughter finally got in to see a highly rated neurologist. It is mid-May, but that is better than the end of August or mid-September.
Paring down our stuff. This is hard. We may end up in a divorce over it. I am just grateful that it is going as well as it is.
Oldest grandson called to tell us that he and his wife heard of new job openings in the town where his wife is from, and both of them applied to see what happened. They were both offered jobs that they are excited about. He will have to take OSHA testing to be finalized, but he has taken OSHA tests for every job he has ever had and always aced them. That means that they will be back close enough to see again instead of 6.5 hours away and never getting off when he is supposed to visit anyone.
My mother has tentatively broached the subject of coming to live with us again to both my husband and me. She is having a hard time giving up her life there, but she has lost most of her friends in the past year, and her eyesight and hearing are getting worse and worse so it is getting harder to live alone.
