The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Saw 4 clients last night. The internet connection was great. I'd been concerned about that. Seeing clients while I'm here is not all altruistic. I don't get benefits as a private contractor so no work for 3 1/2 weeks is an added expense. I'm seeing 5 tonight. This little bit won't change my income much but I'll take what I can. It was sweet because they were happy for me and wanted to.see out my windows and the apartment.
Visited the Grand Palais yesterday. What a beautiful building! And the surrounding grounds were beautiful...an oasis in the middle of Paris. There is a Matisse exhibition right now. I fell in love with his work when I visited his museum last October. This exhibit is wonderful.
Heading to the Marche Grenelle in a few minutes. It's an outdoor market, selling food and goods. Antoine from my travel FB group said they have the best fried chicken. He left France for the states when he was 19 and returned with his wife to live here about 4 years ago. I think they're in their late fifties, early sixties. We'll see because my Tennessee grandma made the best fried chicken!
Les Frenchies is my Facebook group. Antoine and Colleen are down to earth, expel people who are unkind in their posts, are self-promoting their businesses, or making political comments. They want it to be a safe place for people who.live Paris and want to learn more about it. They have made tons of videos of how to do this or that (ie buy a metro ticket, avoid pickpockets, choosing restaurants....just about everything you can think of. One of my favs is a trip to the Costco in Paris! They are having a meet-up tomorrow night for a small group of us, charcuterie and wine. The restaurant is a 9 minute walk from here. I'm excited to be meeting them in person. Very down to earth and funny.
Hope you all enjoy your day!
I love the pic below of the kids drawing at the Matisse exhibition. I have a similar one of kids drawing at Monet's Giverny home from several years ago.
