I have been seeing Phonak hearing aids lately that use AI to distinguish background noise from voices and amplify only voices. I don't know if your insurance would cover that when you are eligible for a new one. My husband has earbuds for his electronics that, instead of fitting into the ear, actually use the bone behind the ear, and he is so much more pleased with them than his hearing aids. He saw the other day where a guy had hacked his earbuds to pick up room sounds through his phone. He is trying to figure out how to do that himself.
