My son called today and mentioned that his wife had taken their son to get a bump on his lower back checked out. It has been bothering him a lot lately. Today it was oozing really smelly drainage. The doctor wasn't sure what it was and wanted to lance it in the OR immediately. It turned out to be a huge hairball that had set up a deep infection. They kept him in the hospital overnight to keep an IV antibiotic on him and try to get the infection under control.

Our oldest grandson, his wife and son came in from Indiana today. He pulled up right behind us when we got home this afternoon. It was so good to see them. We haven't seen his wife and son since early November. He got to stop by for a minute a few times when he had to come back to the home office for work. That great grandbaby sure has grown. He is so tall for a two year old.

We are finally getting a handle on the lake house, except for tackling the pink bathroom. We have a guy coming in to paint the living room and kitchen as well as the chair rail all over the house and everything will pretty much be done by the end of next week except for that pink bathroom. It is next on our list to gut and start over. My husband said today that he was tired of coming back to this house now, he is ready to just stay up there. I have been that way since the beginning. I would have lived in it as it was just to be there.

One of the neighbors that we have gotten to be friends with is a retired Cardiac nurse and her daughter still is. She told us that she can get us into the best cardiologist there, even though hsi nurse says that he is not taking new patients. That is one major thing off our list. We have some great cardiologist that we were really hating leaving. Funny thing...his first and last name are the same as our son.

There were some things we wanted to do to the old lake cabin before we listed it. My husband got some workers up there yesterday and got a lot of it done. We still want to put in a new door but have to wait until it comes in. It always opened the wrong way, back against the closet on top of the light switches instead of back against the wall. It was crazy and we meant to do it the whole time we had it but the door we ordered never came in. Hopefully this one will.
