Glad that I could help her get the lipstick out of her new dress. She had worn it to an event last night and dropped her lipstick while reapplying it. In case you are wondering, Garnier Micellar water will remove makeup, including lipstick and mascara, from most fabrics as well as from your face. I discovered that by accident.
I saw the J in my right eye a little today when I got up. Very faint, very fuzzy, and short-lived. I say this because when it first popped up it was very clear, very large, very dark, very crisp. Like a capital J with a wonky top, at an angle. The eye doc looked at my eye through some special machine, and even he could see it. He said it was a protein floater, like those specks we sometimes get, would likely fade in time, but should not bother me after a bit. This wasn't a speck, and although it floated around, it never disappeared. It was there All. THE. TIME and was very intrusive on my sight. It drove me crazy. When we were talking at my eye appointment the other day, I had to admit that I can't even remember seeing it lately, so I didn't know if it was gone or just not bothering me. Since it wasn't bothering me, he said there was no need for the extra charge to check it. Noticing it today tells me it is still there, but fading, and either hides in the corner of my eye or my brain is ignoring it by the time my coffee brews. Either way, it's all good, and I am very grateful it is no longer bothering me.
Flooring goes in the new house next week.
Realizing that although the other house has half the square footage of this one, it does have 4 nice-sized bedrooms and 3.5 baths, so most of our bedroom and bathroom things will fit, though I do want to get rid of a lot that we don't use. That part does not leave me in a panic. Weeding out stuff in my house, I have come to realize that we have a LOT of other people's stuff taking up room. It seems that our house has become a repository for everyone else who has lived here over the years. Everyone left things behind that they didn't need, but they didn't want to get rid of. That means that I can just put that stuff aside, and they can come take a look at it. They can decide if they still want any of it or if it can go. That takes some pressure off me and feels good! I will take ideas on how to whittle down a large kitchen with lots of cabinet space and a walk-in pantry to a small galley kitchen with hardly any counter or cabinet space, and a large office with a walk-in supply closet to a computer desk in the corner of the bedroom. It is going to hurt weeding out sewing, crochet/knit yarns, quilting, and sculpting supplies, but although I will have some space for it, it is a lot less than I have now. That part is going to be pressure. We also have a sort of butler's pantry going out to the patio that has two cabinets with outdoor cooking supplies as well as freezers in it. I have no where to put any of that stuff. Any ideas on how to downsize will be appreciated.
