My oldest grandson got moved back closer to us yesterday. They haven't been able to celebrate any holidays with family for three years because of distance and not being able to get off work long enough to travel during holidays, since he was the low man in the hierarchy. He took a new job just in time to celebrate Father's Day with his dad, who recently lost his own dad. It will be good for both of them.
The father of my children and my husband for 51 years. Yikes, we are getting old.
My son and his wife arrived safely in Dublin early this morning. I hope that they have a wonderful time.
My mom got her bedspread set over two weeks ago. In May, she found one she loved online, but it was a bit pricier than she wanted to pay. I bought it for her, wanting to surprise her. It was supposed to arrive in 6 days. During that time, I got a notification that delivery had been changed to June 7-17. I kept waiting to hear from her that she had gotten it. We have texted nearly every day since and talked many times. She has never mentioned it. I even asked last night if she had gotten any shipments that she wasn't expecting. She said no. Tracking showed it was out for delivery with a company I don't recognize, but it never showed completed. Customer Service couldn't tell me anything; they had the same info I had. I couldn't cancel it until 6 weeks had passed from the delivery date. Last night, she texted me as she was going to bed and asked if I meant the bedspread set, because if I did, it had been on her bed for about two weeks, and she loved it. She thought she had gone ahead and ordered it, even though I had sent a message with it that she obviously didn't read. *shakes head* At least she got it and is enjoying it.
