The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
It's Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday! Grats?? nt

The youngest grandson here didn't have strep. He did have a mild strain of RSV though. A bad strain of that is what is going around where my mom and sister live that they had and got pneumonia from. Just praying that my husband doesn't get it. |
I finally got some Christmas presents for the boys, my daughter and my DIL. I still have no clue what to get for my husband and son.
My happy light for days like this that are really dark. I don't know if it helps my mood but it does help me wake up on dark mornings.
I got a new calendar today with squares big enough to write in and got all the 2020 appointments that we already have on it before I lose them. I kept forgetting to get one. It has Norman Rockwell pictures on it. Fun.
New CPAP supplies came in and I got the new hose cleaned and on the machine on Wednesday. I have had two undisturbed nights of sleep. They only send out supplies every 3 months and for some reason they sent me a hose last time that would not straighten out part of it would stick up in the air from the kink where it had been looped to go into the bag. It was not flexible at all and didn't have any weight to it so it wouldn't stay off the bed. I got it wrapped around my neck while turning over 5 times. It seemed to be a fight every night. It would even hit things on the nightstand and wake us up with the noise of crashing. So glad to get the usual one that has enough weight that it adjusts itself when I turn over.

Going grocery shopping this morning....something I always enjoy. |
Found a Christmas Tree -- at Home Depot of all places. We compromised on a 7 foot Douglas Fir. It's tall, slim and without much shape as far as I'm concerned, but Bill lies it -- and that seals the deal for me. Once decorated, it will be a piece of art! lol
Carpets were cleaned yesterday...and well worth the price. The young man did a super-good job, and he was a real charmer...sweet as could be. Naturally, he received a very generous tip...
Got the last of the leaves raked and picked up. It's always a major job, but I love the feel of the physical activity.
Later today, we'll polish the furniture and put it back in the rooms. The carpet is totally dry this morning.
Enjoyed the last Thursday Night Football Games last night, and Bill & Scott won their bet. Gonna miss it.
Pics of the tree on here or FB!!

once it's decorated. Actually, our trees always look quite a bit like yours! We have a variety of ornaments and decorations….many of them old ones that have been handed down...some home-made by the kids...some gifts .friends,family. Bill also has a large collection of nutcrackers….kings, santas, firemen....|
Glad you found a tree

I'm pretty sure the tree that we have now may have come from Home Depot. |
Also glad that you are happy with the carpets.

Neighbor to step in and feed everybody tonight. I didn't want to work Wednesday night. Only had one client. Asked if she could switch to Friday instead. She could but it's at SIX tonight (on a dreary, rainy Friday). I'm hoping she cancels and just comes to her regular appt next Wednesday. |
My Christmas house looks pretty.
Leah did such a great job with my hair as always.
New client today and several next week. And, so it begins!
Looking at churches on line yesterday. Looking first for those listed as LGBQT friendly, assuming they would be more liberal on other things as well. I have to build a community even though I don't actually believe much anymore.
Your Christmas house does

look pretty from what I have been able to see. I love the fireplace mantle. I have two if you want to decorate them for me. I have a Santa collection that has what Santa looked like through the ages in different countries that I usually put on them but haven't even felt like finding them this year. I just have no Christmas spirit, I don't know why. I usually have a small tree decorated in every room. What I want to do this year so much is go to Hot Springs or Opryland or somewhere else and look at the decorations that someone else put up while I enjoy myself. Not happening, of course. |

a good report at the gastro--I can't eat candy canes either we can be sob sisters. I don't know if it will be Christmas without at least one candy cane. I have had them all my life at Christmas. We'll get through. |
I would love to see a short video of Maya in the Nutcracker.

1) texted with Trish yesterday and she thinks she is coming back to work in January (didn't say date) but maybe only easing back into it. Glad to hear she's feeling better and we'll see what January brings |
2) off this Saturday and next and next Tuesday - WOooHoOo! Really looking forward to some time off
3) Ray's family party (brother, sisters and spouses) is Saturday. We get together for a meal and to exchange gifts. Always a nice time.
4) Auction Hut Christmas party is Saturday night. Looking forward to meeting / getting to know people there better. Since it's mostly online interaction, some of them I've never even met
5) getting a few more things off the CHristmas list today
