The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
Jan 2 - What are YOU thankful for today?

The day after New Year thankfuls
Posted by Delta on 1/2/2020, 2:36 pm, in reply to "Jan 2 - What are YOU thankful for today?"
After planning to be by ourselves we kept getting calls wanting to know if I was cooking black-eyed peas. Even the ones at their dad's wanted to come to eat. We ended up with all the family but one who was spending the night with a friend, and three guests. Glad I had enough food. It was really enjoyable. |
My freezers that make last-minute meals easier. Even though it would be a lot easier to just go to the store and get food, the things that we grow taste so much better and freezing makes them taste almost like they just came from the garden.
DIL's mom who had hip replacement surgery on Veterans day was getting around so well with just a cane, she even jumped up to help clear the table. She also got the okay to drive the day before. She looked so happy and radiant.
My JFK rose that my son got me for mother's day one year. It has struggled ever since I got it and only had one rose and kept trying to send out long runners instead of blooming. This past summer it bloomed a lot and didn't send out those runners. When we got the unusual freeze in October the other roses that had blooms on them lost all their leaves but it had just dropped its blooms and it still has it's leaves and shape. It's the only pretty thing out my window right now. Nothing else has been able to take the shock of hot/cold/repeat that we have had this fall/winter.
This board and all you ladies.

some times last minute plans are the very best. Sounds like it was a great time.|
Have missed you!

It's good to see you around here. I hope that you had a good end of the year. |

Day 1 on Day 2. Back on WW today. Am even planning on going to the pool for a short swim. The idea of getting in the water when it's not summer is a little 'chilling' to my joints. It's heated but not like a heated therapy pool, more like a regular pool would be. |
Hot coffee in the morning
Will probably take the Christmas mantle down today. I did find tree recycling places for my Christmas tree.
Had a sweet romantic, sexy dream last night. Woke up with a smile. No one that I knew but someone who loved me. I sometimes wonder how being obese has impacted each person's sex life. When I was younger, even when I was married, things might have been difficult but I didn't hold back. I can't even imagine having a man see my body now or touch my belly, etc and it's only going to get worse as I lose weight. People can say that if the man really cares about you, your body won't make a difference but I'm not sure how attracted I would be to a man with skin hanging all over all the 'parts' of his body. We'd each have to use rubber bands so Part A could get to Part B! Men in my peer group have lots of choices with regard to women to date. Guess I'll just have to let this roll and play out.
Making a stuffed cabbage casserole I found on Skinnytaste. Have overnight berry oats in the fridge which I will eat in a few minutes.

"Where there's a will, there's a way". When the moment comes, everything will play out naturally. So, in the meantime, go searching for that man of your dreams.....|

1. A job I love. Going back to work today after being off for 13 days. Feeling refreshed and ready to go! |
2. All the sweet compliments you ladies have given me about my before/now pics. Makes me so happy. I needed to put that pic together to remind me of how far I have come and to help inspire me to continue on!
3. Bought a journal yesterday and have decided to start journaling my thoughts this year. I also want to put together a weight loss journal.
4. The time spent with Ken these past couple of weeks-priceless!!
5. After 2 adjustments with my chiropractor, my hip is doing good! So thankful the pain just disappeared yesterday.

1) Ray's project is underway! He is combining 2 bedrooms to make a larger area with a sitting room and bringing the washer and dryer upstairs. Step one was to move everything out and we've done that. Sleeping in our bed in the downstairs now. Never a dull moment with Ray ♥ |
2) will know on Monday how we are proceeding at the radio station. Trish is coming back Monday to meet with the "bosses" and decide on her transition back. It's going to be good to know how it will all unfold. I am working Monday but should know by end of day schedule after then
3) I am happy for Trish that she is feeling better and is able to come back. I have a feeling she has plans to change jobs so we'll see what the future brings -- for both of us
4) Inukshuks - just love the simplicity of them
5) I get knocked down, but I get up again

What are they? I looked it up thinking it was some kind of shoe or boot but saw a picture of some rocks stacked together used as a navigational thing. Is that what you are talking about? We donít have them in the states. Iím curious about their use snd why you mentioned them! |

They are these little sculptures that she has around her house, sort of transparent little cube-like things that are arranged in different patterns. Native thing to Canada, I think.|
Right on :)
