The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
Grateful today - Wednesday

When the Walmart grocery gets new flowers every week they put what is left on sale, usually around $1.00. Carnations and lilies will still last a week to 10 days so I have decided to buy flowers every week, even on weeks that they may not have anything left that looks good I'll pay the regular price because it doesn't happen a lot. They make me happy when I see them so it is worth it. |
So far there is no leak over the bathtub in all this rain. It had been leaking and my husband found that it was leaking around the boot that goes around the vent pipe for the bathroom. He had a guy come out and put a new one since they sometimes get dry and brittle and replaced the ceiling after it didn't leak anymore. That was just a few months ago and it was leaking again. This time my daughter took silicon and got up there and put the silicone around the pipe inside and out then put the boot back on. Seemed to work. Now to get a new piece of sheetrock put up and painted.
That my daughter has gotten so handy at fixing things around the house. She doesn't even have to be told any more she just sees something and fixes it.
My happy light. It has been so dreary for several days and it really gets my mood down. I bought one of those lights that are supposed to help SAD several years ago and it at least relieves the dreariness while it is on whether it really changes anything or not.
The grandboys have put in an order for omelets for supper. That's easy enough.

My neighbor came by to help me with something yesterday. I showed him the progress in my bedroom and he pointed out that the area they fixed in the closet is still leaking! I may not have noticed it. Construction guy said he would fix it. |
On track for the most part
Back in the 250s. Want those 240's back
Eggplant nail polish
Added lemon zest and a little Truvia to the WW pancakes and they are good that way-also blueberries.
I am glad that they discovered the leak now

instead of after it happened all over again. Sometimes leaks are so hard to find and fix because when tiny drops leak they tend to just flow along something until they can drop. They maybe be feet from the leak. We had one in my daughter's closet like that. Had the roof replaced in that area, still leaking. Had other things done and it was still leaking. Come to find out where the gutter went back under the overlap of the porch roof, in through an air vent that was several feet away from her bedroom but it had gotten the insulation wed all under the eaves and wicked through into her closet from there. It took weeks to finally find the right culprit. I hope they find you quickly! |
You may feel that you are struggling but you are winning and you are so worth the struggle. I don't know if you know how much better you sound these days and I am sure that some of it is because the weight you got rid of has allowed you to feel better because you sound like you feel so much better than you did even before the back situation exacerbated. Keep it up sweet friend! When the struggle feels too hard, and it probably will at times, just remember how much harder everything was every day when you were heavier.

- weight kind of leveling out.Doing some better... but, I need to stay away from sugar. I bought some individual snack packages of vanilla wafers. I thought I could parcel them out one a day. Nope. Grateful that I threw them away. Also grateful that I through away Murray's Dots pretzels too. I dumped dish soap in the bag and threw it in the trash. |
- going to dinner with some friends tonight if my tummy hangs in
- helped Rachel understand why she was charged a certain fee for her hospital stay and why another part was not covered at all.
- some loose clothes
- tracking my food, kinda
friends, family, you all, fb, internet, cell, car
Good for you, Beverly!

I love the dish soap idea. |
If it is in the house it calls my name until it is gone. One time I even reasoned that sitting down and eating the whole thing would solve the problem because then it would be gone. NOT!
When I start getting my gut to healing, even a tiny bit of sugar can start a flare-up all over again and it seems to get worse with each one. I am sure that your Crohns is similar if not the same. I am having to learn to think of sugar as an allergen that causes life-threatening reactions. If I eat pineapple my throat starts closing and I can't breathe. I simply do not eat pineapple for any reason what so ever even though I still love it. I am going to have to convince my mind that sugar is the same.

I've got to learn what my triggers are. What disease are you dealing with. I know you have bouts of hard times dealing with it. |
Getting used to so many restrictions is hard to swallow. (no pun intended )

The number of sweets I've cut into portions and put in the freezer! You can eat almost any sweet that has been frozen within a few seconds in the microwave. Now, I am trying to be more honest with myself: if I buy it, I will eat it all. |
Dish soap is a great idea!
