Friday Gratitudes Posted by Delta on 4/4/2025, 3:53 pm, in reply to "Friday gratitudes…" Getting a few hours of no thunder, lightning, heavy rains flooding the area or tornado warnings on the weather eradio or sirens going off. I have heard so many weather radio sounds and sirens at regular intervals since Wednesday that even when they are not going off I hear them at the same intervals. Pumper trucks are out while there is a lull getting as much water off the streets as they can before the heavy rains come back. The tornado bearing down on our daughter's house went back into the clouds and did not blow them away. We have insurance. The tree that fell on the lake house went through he roof. Our neighbor called that he had gone into the house and the TV was full of water. It was sitting on an electric fireplace/credenza that got wet and is coming apart. The ceiling is coming down in a section about 5X8. We had just got two new end tables last week when we were there and I don't know if they are wet but they are in that area. We also don't know how the floor and even sofa and loveseat are faring. It's just stuff. Even though a swatch of the midlands and south have been having such horrible weather for days on end my mother has had none and her birthday party is continuing as planned, just without me and my family. I am glad that she does not have to deal with this and can be surrounded by all her other loved ones as she celebrates.

Tonight could be very bad and it wasn’t forecast so John is not home. He is at the cabin. All the comfort, prayers support I get from my friends here I watched a movie I liked on Netflix last night. Called The Life List. Nothing profound but I enjoyed it. Hugs to all of you

My five… Posted by Cindy on 4/4/2025, 9:51 am, in reply to "Friday gratitudes…" 1. Being married to Ken. What a blessing God gave me when he brought this wonderful man in my life! 2. It’s FRIDAY! Yay! 3. Got up early this morning so Ken had time to take a shower before I leave for work! 4. The friendships we have on this board! I truly believe we will see our loved ones in heaven and how wonderful it will be somewhere down the road to have all of us together at an FSF reunion in heaven! 5. This day and all it has to offer. God is good!
