They weren’t even forecasting this one for us until today and we are 4/5 They said 7 pm to midnight probably here. How are you doing.

I think PTST is setting in Posted by Delta on 4/4/2025, 3:23 pm, in reply to "Here we go again Delta" our local tv stations were on for over 62 hours with wall-to-wall coverage and I don't think they ever had less than 6 polygons going at one time and that was just inside our broadcast area of halfway to Jonesboro to halfway to Jackson, Tn and the edge of Mississippi down to Tunica. They went to regular broadcasting yesterday morning and thought it would be calm until last night but alarms were going off and they were back on air in 1.5 hours. We have had a brief respite today. The sun even came out for a short time, but to our deterrent, it just heated the temps back up. Lower temps is what kept the tornado count down yesterday even though we had several clouds with rotation, especially at night. We have street flooding and were told not to leave our homes. They got out with pump trucks this morning while it was calm and pumped the worst of the water out of the streets but they are saying that we have at least 5 more inches today and tomorrow. And. More. Tornados. I am so tired and I know everyone else is too, especially the weather people. One station's weather people couldn't even leave because of the flooding. They would just take turns taking short naps in their offices and be back on air, for three days straight. They finally went back to regular broadcasting in the wee hours of the morning and I hope with the reprieve that they got to go home and get a shower and sleep. Hopefully, for them someone else can take the helm this afternoon and on. Our daughter made a picture of a tornado that just popped suddenly and was coming right at her house just hundreds of yards away. They took cover and didn't see or hear anything but a bad storm. Other people behind it said it just went back up in the clouds but caused lots of intense lightning, rain and wind. All of our rentals are in danger of flooding, it has been up to their doors and any traffic would have sent it through the houses, but they aren't the only ones. One reason we are not to leave our houses. Praying that the levees hold the river since it is getting so much flooding from north of us. We have been told that if we can sleep to sleep in our street clothes with shoes nearby and have our ID in our pockets as well as an emergency bag We have had so many weather alarms and sirens going off that when I do drift off I hear them even when they are not there. If I am doing anything in the kitchen that makes any kind of noise I hear them and have to stop. Sometimes it is real, sometimes it is not. I will probably be hearing weather radios and sirens going off for weeks to come. This is the fourth weekend in a row that we have had this type of weather but this time it started on Wednesday and will last through the weekend. packed in case we have to be rescued by boat. Sorry, Diddn't mean to get so wordy, just stream of consciousness and nerves.

I am definitely so anxious. John is at the cabin working. This was not supposed to happen. He is coming back home. He knows I can’t get the dogs and myself safely in the shelter in an emergency. And he knows how scared I get. I pray we both don’t have anything bad tonight. No warnings. In other news my roof has been leaking in my office badly and I didn’t know it. In 2 spots. It’s so bad it’s caused a pocket of water under the paint on the wall. I’ve never seen that. The drywall must be soaked. It’s bad enough it’s dripping and the carpet is wet. I see very costly repairs coming. I don’t know anyone who does drywall either. More worry. I’m just done for today

I hope that it don't fall in before you can get it fixed and that you have good insurance. Please don't say anything about flooding. Most insurance does not cover flooding of any kind. Just tell them that you have a hole in your roof from the storm and water is coming in. Do not say the word flood in any form. I know what you mean about getting it fixed too. We don't know anyone that does drywall at the lake and the people there are definitely on lake time. I don't know if any of our drywall people will go up there. Bad as it will be on him my husband may have to get our son and some grandsons to help him do the work on our house there. I can't imagine not being able to do that and not knowing people. At least since it started after the storm that went through there insurance should cover it and probably a new roof or at least part of it.

I heard people in two of the worst towns that got hit in our viewing area say that they went back to look for their pets because they weren't allowed in the shelter. That is heartbreaking.

Give us a break Posted by Delta on 4/4/2025, 7:48 pm, in reply to "And now an earthquake" They have been saying all along that they weather would be out of here in the early morning hours on Sunday. The weather channel just updated and said we are in another Torcon of 4 out of 5 for all day tomorrow and tomorrow night. We are supposed to get another 5 inches or rain tonight and possibly that much tomorrow on top of the 6 we have already gotten. We are at sea level and sodden. There is no where to go and we can't get out. AND the river is about to crest so there is that, too. This just sounds like so much drama and unreality.

There have been so many reports of cars driving through it and getting stuck and have to be rescued. Some of officers having to swim to them. What a mess.
