Delta and anyone who wants to see a pic of my lemon bread pudding I made…. Posted by Cindy on 4/13/2025, 3:50 pm I usually top the bread pudding with cherry pie filling-but decided to switch things up this time and use lemon pie filling! Ken said he loves it!! Just thought I would share!

My family loves bread pudding but we usually eat it with a sauce over it. I had never thought to put cherries or lemon on it. I will have to share this with my son. He loves bread pudding and his wife loves cherry pie and such. I am sure that this would make them both happy. Thank you!

When Ken and I got married he said his ex used to make bread pudding that had cherries in it. I would make it with the pie filling stirred in before I baked it but never thought it turned out that great. Then I got the idea of just baking it and adding the cherry pie filling to the top which Ken loved! I have seen a lot of recipes with a lemon sauce with it to pour on the top when serving it-which is what gave me the idea of using lemon pie filling. We love anything lemon so I tried it! I am all about doing things the easy way!

This is a Betty Crocker recipe and then after it comes out of the oven and cools I top it with a can of either lemon pie filling or cherry! I have always used cherry in the past but felt like trying lemon this time and it was a hit with Ken! It’s basically bread, milk, sugar, eggs, margarine, cinnamon and a little salt. You can add raisins if you like!
