Every Spring I take photos of the same plants and Every year I tell myself I have enough pics of them BUT I realized that I am so moved by their beauty Every year that I have to have pics to share. My Lenten Roses are huge this year. I remembered to spray the stinky stuff on the peony buds. The possibility of a fix for my back. Had a long talk with Bill about what it would mean....no bending for 12 weeks. They said I would probably be able to resume work after 2 or 3 weeks since I sit for a living. I dread the recovery time but I can't go on like this. I can't even grocery shop. Cindy's son is coming home to get married! Dreams of being able to prance all over Paris without pain.

I understand the conflict between wanting a fix and having to go through the recovery period. This period is probably harder than recovery will be, it's just the devil that you know.

My five… Posted by Cindy on 4/18/2025, 8:53 am, in reply to "Friday gratitudes…." 1. First and foremost, for Jesus who died for our sins that we may have everlasting life. So very grateful. 2. Thinking about telling PT (who comes twice a week) and the nurse (who comes once a week) that I want them on a regular schedule. As it is now they just call the night before and I need to get back into the office on a more regular schedule working all day on days they aren’t coming. I’m thinking Tuesday and Thursday afternoons but I will see what they say. 3. After Ken’s therapy is over which will be in 60 more days I’m thinking about cutting my work week down to 4 days a week and possible working 1 day a week from home. That way I will be only working at the office 3 days a week. If I get 32 hours weekly I will still be able to have work pay my benefits. 4. Ordered Adam and Chaz’s wedding cake yesterday. 5. Major housecleaning will be going on this weekend because I always wait until the last minute, but Adam will be home on Monday!

I know what you mean about the house cleaning. I hope that you can get a schedule. Usually they will work with you but last time my mother had a nurse, a PT and an OT then there were people for all three that evaluated her a couple of times. They seemed to just call to see if they could drop by whenever they wanted. Sometimes we had someone here every day sometimes 3 or 4 in one day. That was just too much and I told them so so they toned that down.
