What brand of washer do you have? Posted by Cindy on 5/21/2025, 1:04 am My washer has this push button that starts it and it isn’t starting. Ugh This happened another time and I finally got it going then but now I can’t and I’m thinking it might be smarter to get a new one. I have a Maytag, want an agitator and top loading. There’s just so many to choose from. I have thought about calling a service man but don’t want to put a lot of money in a repair when a few hundred more will buy a new machine. Are you in love with your washer? What kind is it? Or have you had a bad washer that you would never buy again? Do tell!

Whirlpool sells products under a wide variety of other brand names that include KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, and Consul. The company first sold electric washing machines to Sears where I bought my first washer/dryer, a Kenmore!

A repair man recently Posted by Delta on 5/21/2025, 1:46 am, in reply to "What brand of washer do you have?" told me that he works for LG because he gets a lot of calls on those appliances. I asked himo what kind gets the least calls and he said the commercials are right, Maytag gets the least amount of calls. I am using a 17 year old Maytag at home and have liked it a lot. We got a basic top loadere at the lake that I really like from Home Depot but I can't remember what kind it is. My son bought a Samsung and within a few weeks had to get a new one, then another one all in less than three months. They were covered by warranty but when it started having problems again he got a different brand. Our grandson took it and had it repaired when he got a house. It only worked a few months and went out again. Makes me not want a Samsung.
