Worked 4 hours today from home to finish up everything for my job prep class tomorrow. Grateful to be ready! 3. Eating better and drinking more water! Grateful to be mindful of what I put in my mouth. 4. Air conditioning on a hot day! So grateful to have it. 5. This day and all it had to offer me! Grateful for all of God’s blessings.

Mine Posted by Paula on 6/1/2025, 11:23 am, in reply to "Sunday Gratitude... Care to share?" At the car wash getting my car cleaned inside and out. It's a mess. I always do stuff like this before a bug event so that if anything happens to me, 'they' won't think I'm a slob. The 'they' used to be my parents and my sister. They're not in .y life anymore so I guess it's just a habit. And, no, I don't anticipate anything bad will happen. Just my way. Getting a pedicure after this so I look pretty on the operating table. HMMM, I'll be face down so maybe no one will see them. Can't do a manicure because you can't have polish on during surgery. Not going to watch the final episode of Wolf Hall because I know what happens and it's sad. This last 1.2 pounds is being very stubborn (hoping for 259.9).

It's hard on him and me but he NEEDS a bath and I don't know when I'll be able to do it again. We tried a local do-it-yourself dog bath place but he freaked out!

I went into ER once and was admitted. I had polish on my toes and they took it off and did a sloppy job of it so they could check my toes. I thought it was strange because they required us to wear those ugly grippy socks. They would take those babies off adn look for swelling and to make sure my lower extremities were getting good blood flow and no clots.

Love going to Church and seeing fellow parishioners! Love making a connection with someone new at Church! 2. Yesterday, we watched "Fountain of Youth" on Apple TV. If you liked "Raiders of the Lost Ark," this is the movie for you. Lots of action. 3. We received some much needed rain yesterday. We're under drought conditions right now, so when a light rain started when we were out walking in the morning, we just kept right on walking. 4. Brussels Sprouts - I grew up hating brussels sprouts and now we have them weekly with dinner. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I heard the weatherman say that we are a foot above our normal yearly rainfall already and expecting 1"-4" in the next two days. We are already at flood stage, so much that quickly may flood us out. Isn't it strange how our taste buds change? When I was growing up, I couldn't stand Brussels sprouts or oysters. I tried some oysters early in my marriage that were really good, so I do have them now, but I still couldn't stand sprouts until about 4 years ago. My son cooked some bacon and onions, then stir-fried the sprouts in them for about 2 minutes. Put everything on an oiled cookie sheet and add salt, pepper, garlic, and thyme, then cook in the oven about 10 -15 minutes. When finished, he drizzled them with aged balsamic vinaigrette. Now I have them often like that. Still the only way I like them.
