I’ve spoken with the surgeons, etc. (yesterday once we realized what happened). Her last dose of antibiotics was on the 26th…. She - not the nurses - SHE realized she’d had none since then. The directions the infection disease dr wrote the directions terribly but who doesn’t think to check. I just got the text she’s in line for surgery (was supposed to happen hours ago). Her WBC count is getting better, but the wound is still weeping. He’s going to go in and clean it up again and place a more permanent wound vac to help her heal. I agree with the lawsuit - how is everyone so stupid? Me again-she will let me know when she hears something.

From her dr… Posted by Cindy on 6/30/2025, 11:01 pm, in reply to "Out of surgery…" OK! She’s out. He said it was good - went well. There was a lot of fluid just under the skin - he got it all . He put a sponge in (for the wound vac) that will grow out as she heals. He thinks end of the week is realistic. Yay! Thank God she’s out of surgery!

I managed to stay awake last night to read these updates but did not have the energy to respond and pray before conking out. I figured responding today would suffice. I didn't mean to make it look like it wasn't important. I am glad that she came through surgery well. I hope that this fixes the problem once and for all. I am still shaky about her going home virtually alone as far as her care.
