Doesn't look like I'm coming home today Posted by Paula on 7/3/2025, 8:55 pm Because the surgeon didn't call in d/c orders I'm all set They gave my antibiotics at 12:30 and Deborah was all prepared to.come at 1 and give me tomorrow's dose. Meds have to run for 30 minutes 24 hours apart. So that's all screwed up. The wound care nurse took off the wound vac, cleaned it, and topped it with a special dressing that would protect me until the game care nurse gat.toy house at 9;30. That's all screwed up. The staff and ME worked so.hard to get all of this coordinated and he blows the whole thing. I have no idea how this gets set up.now. It's a holiday weekend and it's harder to get things set up. The nurses have called and called. They even tried to call the on-call neurosurgeon. It's him So I sit here dressed and packed to go home but they'll come in soon to help me get back to bed The staff feels awful but it's not their fault. I want to just keep crying and crying but I can cry myself into a fever and I can't afford that. I am just devastated.
