The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

I slept walked last night. I got up and went to the bathroom. Then I noticed I felt hungry and I was aching to see Gianni. I must have walked my whole house in the dark without my walker, looking for him I would have thought it a dream if the banana peel wasn't on my nightstand. Strange
RN came out and changed the wound vac. Said there's no way to know how long I will need it but it looks clean. She will put an order in for an aide and will try to get 2 days/week Mostly hygiene. No sheets or anything like that. Medicare approves services on a medical need level of care
I had a temp last evening 99.7. 100 is the magic number for calling for help. Tylenol took it down . About 3AM, I woke up drenched like when a fever breaks. I told her she needs to tell the surgeon because with all these drugs I shouldn't get a fever.
Got up at 8 and pooped my pants on the way to the bathroom. That is so out of his wheelhouse but I figured it out. Blake puked on my comforter. Bill got that in the washer.
This is so hard for Bill and I think it's forcing him to see his limitations and that's scary for both of us. I won't put him in this position again.
Still lots of back pain and exhaustion. If Carin tests negative for Covid, she may drive up later this week. Would love to handle the reinstall off to someone else for a couple days
Sooner or later things will improve. I know I'm being awful..but I'm exhausted. The back pain, infection and all the meds is rough.
Miss you guys. I just can't focus much. Miss reading
Honestly...

I don't know how you were able to post an update, but thank you!
I'm hopeful that things will improve sooner rather than later!
We miss you, too. Let me clarify. I miss you!!!
Continued prayers, of course!
We miss you too…

And you are right-sooner or later things will improve. I’m glad you are going to check with the surgeon about getting a fever. I wouldn’t think with all the meds you are on you would be getting a fever either.
I hope Carin feels good enough to come help you out for a few days. She seems quite sweet.
I'm speechless

Thank you for updating us Paula. I feel so worried / concerned about you. I don't know what's "normal" for your post-op recovery but this just doesn't sound "right". I am praying as that's all I can do that things improve for you. Should you still be in back pain?
