Paula, if you are able to answer Posted by Krista on 7/10/2025, 4:27 pm I don't want to intrude on recovery! Hope things are coming along with your recovery. When do you have a follow-up on the wound vac? What are the next steps for recovery? Do you know how long 'til you are supposed to be feeling better and able to work again? I really hope things are much improved in the past few days!

He also said no PT yet and let the wound/incision close first. Thank you He believes the first surgery was a success and that I'll realize that once the infection is gone. You guys know I've limped along with back pain for years but this is the worst. I can't do steps at all. I can't work because telehealth is all sitting. I only have SS and Bill's rent so I will have to use my kitchen remodeling money to get through. Thank God I have it There are so many awful infections out there and several of them are coursing through my system. Food tasted a little better today. My nurse held the wound vac and got me on the scale. It said 244. I'd take 280 again if it meant I was well. But it was sort of sweet seeing that number. I'll be happy if when all is said and done, I'm in the 250s It's Lewie's Gotcha Day today, 2021. My sweetest boy. Not proofreading.

I can't believe that they gave you a prescription for Dilaudid for home. They will NOT give it here. It is the only thing that I can take for pain that does not knock me out or make me a vegetable, but no, it's hydrocodone or nothing. I chose nothing, and the doctor couldn't believe it. He told me I would be calling him, but I never did. I can't do being knocked out all the time. I did biofeedback. It wasn't perfect, but neither were the other options. I would predict that you will be in the mid to low 220s when you get off all the meds, if not less. They make you not want to eat. Without the wound, the pain or lugging around the wound vac you are going to feel so light and be able to do so much.
