Gratitudes for Tuesday Posted by Delta on 7/16/2025, 12:22 am, in reply to "Gratefuls for Tuesday" We on the interstate that skirts the city today when we went from sunshine to a sudden downpour that was very difficult to see through. Traffic was down to about 30 mph and very cautious, not like most times when people continue to be crazy. We were looking for an exit we knew was near when I saw dry pavement and sunshine less than 29 yards ahead. So grateful that we got out of that horrible downpour safely without any wrecks. All my meds but one are free this year. Last year I paid from $10-$40 each for my meds but that one. The one that is not free is $141 for 90 days. I can't believe it. Last year I paid almost $400 per month for it. So grateful for the difference this year! Our aloof (rescue cat), who has never wanted to come into the house and will tear the walls and windows up to try to get out if brought in, and hasn't liked to be petted walked right into the house when we got back from the lake and has been rolling all over our feet and letting us pet him ever since. Our daughter came over to make sure that he had food and water as usual and we saw two of the neighbors checking on him several times as well on the cameras. This is a cat with his own heated and cooled room off my husband's shop, where he can come and go as he pleases. This time was not unlike every other time we have been gone to the lake or somewhere else. After over 13 years, I guess he has decided to join the family. He has loved Poppy from the minute they met, but hates all other dogs. She goes out to check on him first thing every morning and last thing each night. During the day, they play together, and sometimes he lies in the window of the den and watches her. I guess he missed her and tolerates us because of her. It's a shocking change. It rained almost ever day here while we were gone. My husband was lamenting how high the grass would be when we got home until the Ring chimed and we saw one of our neighbors mowing our yard as he mowed his the day before we came home on a rare day of no rain. He just made one long swipe each time instead of stopping at the property line. We were so grateful to him when we got home.

Ever since the 4th when I walked the 3 miles I’ve worn my Apple Watch and pushed the activity John just went back to have an Upper GI. He’s been getting food stuck for a few months and they did a swallow test which he passed but it persists. Curious to see if he will need stretched in there. Final walk through on the cabin is tomorrow. Paula is starting to feel better (I think at least) All of you

When Mama was here she was complaining about having trouble with things getting stuck in her throat. They did the swallow test, an endoscopy and some other things. I can't remember what it was but the doctor told her that an ENT could do a simple procedure in the office and fix it. She was like, "oh, well, never mind." LOL. I don't know if she was just getting the tests becasue she was afraid it was something bad or if a simple procedure wasn't drama filled enough. I hope his is drama free, too.

Drive safely dear one Began researching my medical records. They, essentially, stop the day they realized the message up. I will reach out to an attorney when my head is less jumbled. I weighed 244 this morning . My lowest after having WLS was 238. Deborah just left after giving me the antibiotics and I am pooped. Wish I could say I felt better but nothing tangible comes to mind

Hmmm ... info shouldn't just stop while you are in the hospital. Perhaps someone can recommend someone when you are feeling better. I am glad you saw Deborah today.

One of the MAIN things I would get to pronto is the fact that they had no antibiotics going into you until YOU noticed it days after surgery. That alone should be enough to sue for some sort of malpractice, wouldn't it?

I was able to dl all the nights from the hospitalization " I thought it was strange that they did another surgery and basically kicked you out the door. I know you were ready to come home but if you were there over a week after the first surgery and required another how were you ready to come home medically? I hope you file a lawsuit. Something similar happened at a hospital here. Unfortunately, I think the person died because their family filed a lawsuit. They just wanted to make sure it never happened again. It made a total difference. They went from being the lowest ranked hospital in the city to the highest. After the lawsuit they set up a chain of events that have to happen with each person's meds so that they are being checked by 4 different people and each one has to log into the computer to check the meds, which they were already supposed to do but now each has to sign it when they do it to make sure that everyone is on the same page and actually doing their jobs. It is so far above the other hospitals in the city now and they lose so many less souls these days. Do something about it for everyone else if not for yourself.

It will be in the 90's today... thanks for air conditioning. Listening to happy, upbeat, favorite music - plus favorite performers et. I've been letting it fill my day on and off. Sourdough bread green tea. You wonderful ladies. I love how much we care about each other.

We were both singing along to everything and having the best time. I love green tea and tolerate sourdough bread but I like making and eating yeast bread better.
