Got home late last night Posted by Cindyh on 8/26/2025, 11:39 pm That’s a long trip. Very long to me. We started it late and tired. Sarah called us at 10:30 pm Sunday. We had just gone to bed and she wanted to take the baby to the hospital because she looked too jaundiced. We got up. Got dressed. Went the 20 mins to her apartment to watch the girls while they went to the hospital, a few hours later all was fine( we assumed because she had just gotten home from the hospital at 430 pm) bUT we are there to support and you never know. So checkout was 11 am. We checked out at 10:30. Got coffee and hit the road at 11. We stopped at halfway to get a sandwich and bathroom breaks. We got home at 9:30 pm. My legs have been swollen all week. It’s a mess. Not going down Not feeling well Lots of palpitations In other news it feels good to be home. Very good. I missed my bed

At least these things have gotten wireless in all the years since I have worn one. I also had to go get compression socks. My calves are so large. I have trouble with them so it was fun putting them on but the dr said for now any level of compression was ok so I found some MUK LUK 3 pack in wal mart and I can at least get them up (barely) AND my legs are going down She told me when I travel this is a must wear if I have pitting edema like this. I’m so frustrated Cindy. And scared. John and i have a vacation we have had reserved for the first week of October in the Gulf of Florida and I’m thinking what am I going to do. I don’t want to feel like this again!! That’s only a month away. Just don’t seem to be easy answers

They size them by your calf measurement and the first order I got was an XL which would fit up to a 22 in calf which is what mine measure. One of my calves is a little bigger than the other and I was always having to pull that sock up. I emailed the company and they suggested I go up a size and sent me my same order (4 pairs of socks) for free and let me keep the other ones! I love that kind of customer service. The new ones are great and I don’t have to pull them up all the time. They stay up and are supportive. You should check them out. My only complaint is they took several weeks to arrive-but once I got the right size-were definitely worth the wait!

Posted by Delta on 8/26/2025, 11:48 pm, in reply to "Got home late last night" They tell me that if I get leg swelling and palpitations to go to the ER so they can get them both under control ASAP. The combo can be dangerous. But I am sure that you know that already. They usually just put me on Jardance and Spironactone for ten days to two weeks. I don't remember if I spelled either of those correctly. I hope that both of them get batter soon.

They called back. I was having Charley horses so I thought my potassium might be low but it was good actually. I have to pick up the Vitron C in the AM.
