Gratefuls for Friday Posted by Delta on 9/2/2025, 7:31 pm, in reply to "Gratefuls for Tuesday " We had a quiet day over Labor Day. We didn't plan anything this year, and neither did any of our kids. It was kinda nice not having so much work to do. Our grandson, who was transferred near the coast, went to the beach yesterday. He called this morning and was talking to me, and said they only stayed about two hours. He asked how they could stay all day and not leave until dark, when they would go on vacation, and it is already becoming commonplace enough that after two hours, they are ready to go now. LOL, I hope he loves the rest of living down there because the beach is why he always wanted to live on the coast, and they are already homesick. He does like his job a lot better down there. He said the ships are bigger, so it takes longer to do his job, but everything is easier than here. However that works. I am grateful he is enjoying it. They were looking at houses this morning, and he did a video call to show us one house and told us that it would be perfect for us instead of them (it was, except it didn't have a workshop for Oscar), and tried to get us to move down there again. Love that about him. The cooler temps. It is so nice outside.

Hoping he will be getting stronger and stronger. Murray and I watch a short program on Netflix today. (about 30 minutes) It's about a program in a level 5 men's prison. The program is making quilts for children in foster care. It's really good. What a positive thing for the participants and the receivers! Nice weather. I have many things to reschedule as they were cancelled when Murray had his pulmonary event. The oxygen concentrator is very noisy - I need to figure it out. You wonderful ladies. Love you all so very much.

I hope he gets stronger and stronger, too, and I am sure he will if he gives it his all. Some of those concentrators are very noisy. I have seen them on all areas of the spectrum. My mother had one that she only had to use at night, which was so noisy that she would put it in another room, close the door, then close her door to keep it from being so noisy. Finally, it stopped working, and they sent her another one that you can barely even hear right beside it. I hope something can be done to quiet it down some. Maybe try calling the company that brought it and ask them to send a technician to work on it.

I did have a little milk with it so next step is black with sweetener but am optimistic now as it wasn't bad at all 2) sent a note to Pest Control today to see how quickly they could come (we are deciding this week if we need them) and firm up the price details 3) getting chores done this morning after the long weekend 4) all my meds are at the pharmacy that I need to pick up (for the surgery). I like to be ahead of the game for sure! 5) Ray who supports me through EVERYTHING. I love him so much

Magnesium supplements and Epsom salt soaks, as well as Gatorade Zero or other zero-caffeine/sugar electrolyte replacement drinks, can help alleviate caffeine withdrawal headaches. I really admire that when you decide on something that you are like a bulldozier moving forward and let nothing get in your way. I have much more peace where you are concerned now. Keep pushing forward!

I worry about having a stroke because that's what took my mom and grandma. It subsided a lot when I got up. May be a sinus infection. That I can handle! Cool again today. Temps are going up for a few days mid-week. Sooner or later, my wound will heal. This 'Moroccan' shampoo I bought. It smells so good. Washer and dryer just outside my bedroom.

There is a virus going around here that causes headaches and eventually mild cold/flu like symptoms (I didn't get a cough, others did). Yes, sooner or later, your wound will heal. It just takes time to grow that much tissue. It seems that you are on the right track and you are moving forward now, getting your strength back and that will help speed things up a little too.
