A successful day!…. Posted by Cindy on 10/16/2025, 12:56 am Our Disability Mentoring day went great!! Love the day, but so glad it is over with. It has consumed me for the past several months. It was a lot of work, but always turns out to be a wonderful day! I was able once we got the kids off to their job sites to go to my chiropractor for an adjustment. My lower back and hips have really been hurting the past couple of days. I am not sure what I did, but my pelvis was out! He put it and one rib back in and I am feeling a bit better tonight! On other news-since I had to get up about an hour early for work today I asked Ken if he wanted to come upstairs to sleep when I was getting ready to leave for work instead of getting up and staying up after I left. He said he would try it and slept till about 9. Ever since he came home from the hospital he hasn’t wanted to sleep overnight upstairs. He would take naps in our room, but just couldn’t sleep overnight upstairs. I am hoping that by having him start coming up at 7 to sleep (he’s been sleeping on the couch) that maybe he will get used to it again and start sleeping overnight upstairs. Ken doesn’t know why he doesn’t feel like he can sleep overnight upstairs. It has to be psychological-just not sure. I’m hoping slowly I can get him back to sleeping in our bed!

Both my husband and I, after surgeries or being hospitalized, feel better sleeping in the den. For some reason, that biggo bed after a hospital bed seems to swallow us. A flat bed makes it harder to breathe, too. Our old couch was the perfect tilt. This new one we never sleep on because it has high straight sides. We will sit in our recliners instead. We have done better about getting right back to bed since getting an adjustable bed.

Take a bow! I'm glad you were able to sneak off to the chiropractor and you feel a bit better. That's hard when you're hurting like that. Good luck with Ken, but it sounds like you have a plan.
