The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

Friday Gratefuls

Our son's family got back from vacation safely and on time yesterday evening. With the weather and the TSA shortage, they were afraid that they would be delayed as they were leaving for vacation, but everything went smoothly.
Been wrestling with Health Care yesterday and today. My healthcare is state-specific, so if I move, it won't cover me. This seems to be the best time to choose another plan. I have finally narrowed it down to one. The nice thing is that my dental and eye care have not been covered on my old plan because they say that my doctors are out of network each time, although they were shown in network on the info when I chose the plan (tri-state region, so doctors are usually covered within 50 miles of my house in another state). This new plan will cover any dentist or ophthalmologist on the list, and both of mine are on it.
My blood pressure medication has been costing me $467.00 per month, and it is the only one that they have found that I can take. It went generic recently, so it costs me zero through the rest of the year, and next year will be $20 per month, and the only one that I pay for. Another med was $179 per month with no cost next year. If all this holds up next year will be a lot less expensive for us.
I think the collection problem may be solved. (This is long so you can stop reading here.)One of my doctors had sent me a bill at the first of the year, but I paid in-house while I was there. Unfortunately, my husband paid the bill that had come to the house the next day, and I didn't know it until later. I had a $240 credit there. Instead of refunding me, they said they would just take it off future visits since I had a monthly charge there. That was fine, but they kept sending me bills every month. I called billing, and they told me that there were mistakes and told me to ignore them. They sent it out to collections last month, and they added collection fees on top of what they said I owed. When I called them to tell them that it was in dispute and I had the receipts to prove it, they told me that it was no longer with the doctor's service, and I would have to pay them anyway, since they bought the debt. Fortunately, I had been required to take classes in law of bill collection, and evidently, they had not because they didn't know what they were talking about. I couldn't get to talk to the manager or owner of the company, just somewhere overseas. I think I have finally taken care of it. It was a nightmare, and I was tempted to pay for it just to stop the craziness. It didn't even hurt my credit. Crossing my fingers, they don't sell it to try to recoup their money, and it starts over again.
All the youngest grandchildren want to spend the weekend with us. I feel blessed that mid-teens still want anything to do with us, and they all call to talk to us frequently without being prompted. We won the lottery with grandkids.
what a mess!

Mammo and last PT today
Setting 238 or lower as my pre-trip goal is helping
My trip. I am grateful but can't hide from the fa t that I am nervous because of my issues with stamina and balance. I'm always a little anxious about trips but this is like 60/40 anxious. And, it's not just stamina and balance. It's also about the fact that I've been living mostly in a bubble for months and the world feels sort of overwhelming. Definitely have to get into a ODAT, one decision, one step at a time, mode.
First purple trench was too small and had to go back. Got a black one...meh. Another purple one coming today. If it fits, the black one goes back. Got them all off Amazon and I sort of think the one coming today is actually the same as the one that didn't fit just from a different middle man. We'll see. The black one is a 4X, LOL. Obviously made in a foreign country with very small people! No purple 4x available.
Does anyone have Bev's address? I only have her old one.
I admire you so much

I absolutely could not plan a trip in the place where you are right now. I would have to finish PT and exercise daily for months to prove to myself that I wasn't going to crumple. The way you just do it anyway is so admirable.
Gotta laugh about the sizes on Amazon. They go all over the place, and I have to use the measurements they give for sizes to see if there is any way that things will fit. I was looking at a top the other day and their 5X ended up being the same as a US size 14. That is a country with some small people. Then again, I got a 1X or 2X pair of pants once. They pulled up under my arms and there was still at least a foot dragging behind me. How tall are those people? I wish there were a universal size.
I answered your Wednesday grateful question below--NT
I have been increasingly aware of my mortality and don't want to have my life on hold. If these were first trips or, if I hadn't been to these places before and wanted to see everything, I wouldn't be venturing out, but, I know the basics of European travel and have seen the major sites in Nice, Barcelona and Seville, so I'm good to go.
This came across my FB feed tonight.
