The guys were happy with the other house--it is a bit more rustic, and they never saw the problem of putting 12 people and multiple dogs in a 1000 sq ft house. We were the ones navigating domesticity amid all the excess stuff taking up every square inch and chaos. It was all we could find at the time we were looking, and we made some great memories there individually. It was just when more than one family wanted to go to the lake at the same time. If it is the whole family's house, then everyone should be able to go when they want. This should be so much better. Everyone will probably spend a lot more time there. Feeling better. I was so cold all night on Monday and most of the day yesterday as well as having a super runny nose and occasional coughing from it. I was afraid that I was getting a virus. Feel like my old self today. My husband got his flu shot today. I didn't go because he left at 8 and I didn't get to sleep until well after 6. I slept in until 10:30. I'll get mine at the walk-in clinic or drug store. He won't make the time to get it anywhere else. My husband's urinalysis results notification just popped up. He is right in the middle of normal on everything they tested for. This is great for a man who has been diabetic for almost 25 years. Picking colors. I love looking at all the color charts as well as going to paint stores and picking swatches to try out. It is nice to have something to do besides cleaning and grocery shopping for a change.

They love the other house they just can't ever bring friends unless no one is there and someone is usually there in good weather.

Almost bought on the Gulf Coast, but it is a long drive for all of us but. This will get used more. This one is about equal distance from all but one of us.

I know we feel like we are in our own little bubble here, but it is a public board, and we've been finding out lately that there are lurkers out there. I would rather that strangers not have all that info. Yes, I am secretive, but it is hard after someone steals your identity and virtually erases your life to be out there again, where you are vulnerable. I wish we had each other's phone numbers so that we could share the more sensitive things. I am trying to share the pics that we made.

Seldom do schedules work like that, but it did happen this summer. We ended up hardly using it this summer because so many other people were always using it. Haven't been there since July 4th. Planned to spend our 50th anniversary there, but it was full. We stayed home and did nothing while the family was there. Had it been bigger, we would have joined them and had a great anniversary. They have to juggle schedules to g,o so we would just not say anything since we are free to choose other times.

Beautiful view from the living room, kitchen, eat in the bay window, and the primary bedroom. The exciting thing is that it is a private lake now, meaning only the people who live on it have access to it, but the Corps of Engineers still maintains it. The one we have now has a couple of public boat launches, so there are a lot of people using it all the time, and the ones that don't live there don't have as much respect for the ones that do own property there. There is a lot more respect on a private beach. Yes, we plan to sell or rent out the other house. Duck is hunting on one side of the adjacent property and selective hunting on the other at the National Forest trying to keep the populations of different animals, fowl, and other birds stable, ensuring people needing somewhere to stay, since it is a small town with no hotels, motels, or inns nearby, they have to stay somewhere. We should have the new house ready to move in in a month or so and fully open by spring. The question is when are you coming to stay with me?
