Got my curbside groceries at Walmart today. Love that convenience! 3. Naps! Who knew I would grow up to love them so much! 4. Being able to cast a tv show from my phone to my tv. For some reason when I go into Roku to watch something on Apple TV it doesn’t want to connect or it takes forever-just in our front room! I can pull it up on my phone and hit the button to cast it and then it will start on my tv! I had no idea how to do that and my son Adam taught me! So glad! 5. A beautiful fall day. A little breezy but lovely out. So grateful.

I am not very good at figuring out things. I am in a panic now because my son and husband decided to cancel YouTube. Since they have dropped the sports stations that they watch and the price has gone up so much to not have them. They have already set up other streaming services, but I am still watching YouTube until it is gone on the 14th. I am just now figuring it out to where I can do everything without thinking about it. I hate having to memorize new channels.

" I know you said they are getting rid of you tube and then I tell you I have you tube tv and ask if that’s what they are getting rid of! LOL There are 2 You Tubes that you can stream and we have both. You tube tv has lots of tv shows and just straight You tube is a bunch of you tube videos. I watch You tube tv and Ken usually watches just straight You tube. I hope I made that easier to understand!

YouTube TV and Disney are disagreeing. Disney pulled Disney, Disney Plus, ABC, and ESPN from their lineup. Right now, they have the Hulu, Disney, and ESPN package for about the same price that YouTube used to be. It covers all they care about. I am thinking about getting AMC, Hallmark, or Angel. We also get a lot of channels on Amazon and Walmart through memberships, as well as over 50 free channels on our TV. The thing is, I generally only use it for noise anyway, so I don't care what it on it. My husband goes on at me when a show will come on, and he will say, "Oh, this is the one where X happens to this character and that character does Y." I'll just shrug because I have no idea. He then makes a commentary about how I can sit and watch a show and never know what is going on. It is because I usually am sewing, crocheting, knitting, and reading while there is noise in the background. If he doesn't hear something well, he will ask what they said, and I will spout it back to him, but I never really tune in.

I was awakened at 8:29 by something that startled me. One of those sit straight up before you wake up kind of things. Poppy was sleeping on a blanket at the end of my bed, and she bounded off the bed and ran down the hall. I started to lie back down when the alarm and Poppy both went off at the same time. I didn't have motion set on the alarms, just the doors and windows, so someone had to tamper with a door or window to set it off, but Ring via Alexa said someone was at my side door. Thinking it was my daughter or grandson, I looked at Ring on my phone, and it didn't pick up a person, just motion. Poppy came running back into the bedroom. I hit the panic code on the bedroom panel, grabbed a robe, keys, and my phone, then went out the patio door to the fenced backyard to wait for the police. When they pulled up, they said there was a guy in my driveway who took off down the road when he saw their cars. One guy went to try to catch up with him and get info while we waited for another one to come through the house with the one that arrived first. Something was jammed into my deadbolt lock as if they had broken something in it. The policeman had to work to get it to move so that the key worked. It worked fine last night when my husband came home from the office. They checked the house, attic, and workshop and found nothing. Just glad that no one actually got into the house. No one was hurt in the wreck that my son had last night. He was going down a four-lane road last night when a lady in the left lane veered over into his lane and hit him, forcing him onto the shoulder. The dents in this truck started in the center of its back door. Her Tahoe, on the other hand, had extensive damage from her front bumper being pulled off, a broken front passenger side light, her running board pulled off, and dents past her passenger side door where a child was sitting. My son said he was more concerned for the girl than the mother was. Thankfully, she was okay. The woman tried to tell him that he was in her "blind spot". He said, "Lady, you hit my truck almost 10 feet back. I was obviously ahead of you when you tried to swap lanes." She said she didn't see him there. Just grateful that no one was hurt. I went out and picked all the good-sized tomatoes and peppers yesterday, while I was thinking about it before the hard freeze tomorrow night. I washed everything and let it air dry. I am wrapping the green tomatoes in brown paper and storing them in the closet under the stairs in the garage. We should be able to have ripe tomatoes for Thanksgiving and Christmas that way. I'll just have to lay some out to ripen a few days before the days. Today I am slicing and chopping all the beautiful peppers and freezing them for winter cooking. My husband says that he feels better from the head and chest infection he had, but he feels like he still has some infection in his head. He had a well visit/diabetes checkup on Wednesday. They X-rayed his lung, and it was clear, but they called him to tell him that his white blood count was up a little, and they had called in some antibiotics and decongestants to try to get that completely cleared up before it comes roaring back. Glad he had the appointment when he did, or he would be down again shortly. Had a long talk with my brother last night. We have been playing pnone tag for several days.

After the adrenalin wore off I was so exhausted the rest of the day.It felt like my feet were made of lead when I walked and I kept dozing off when I sat down. My daughter hasn't had any more passing out spells which is hopefully a good thing. She has an upper respiratory infection right now. She is on antibiotics now too so hopefully she will be ok soon. Thank you for asking and thank you for praying.

Did the police ever catch up with the guy? Thank God you woke up when you did! I love having cameras around our house. Not only to keep an eye on Ken and the dogs, but the outside as well. I plan on getting a couple more cameras and have them installed outside. The ones I have now just look through the big window in our living room onto the driveway, and then we have a ring camera for the front door. You just can’t be to careful these days. I’m also glad your son didn’t get hurt in that accident! And that your husband is feeling better! Great timing on his dr appointment! I was just telling a coworker to wrap his green tomatoes and put them up and that he would have fresh tomatoes at Christmas and beyond if he did. I read to do this once when I had a garden and it works! Glad you connected with your brother!

We have such hot summers that we get a good crop early in spring most years, then they boil on the vine through the summer. When it starts cooling down, they put on another good production. I left probably 50 or more salad-sized green ones that would have been nice tomatoes if we didn't get a freeze. We have a fence around them to keep the critters out. I have been wondering today if I put plastic wrap over the fencing like a mini greenhouse, if they would continue to grow. I may try to do it.

Any to share?" 1) each of you amazing ladies - every single day 2) the energizer bunny cooked hamburger soup and a green bean casserole with hamburger and is now on a cleaning frenzy starting with the bathroom 3) fresh flannel bed sheets for tonight 4) we're starting to clean out the basement which will be ongoing I am sure. Keep, toss or donate are the options. I did about 1/2 hour this morning and will peck away at it. 5) Ray has an extra long weekend as he is off Fridays and Mondays and Tuesday is a stat holiday for Remembrance Day.

Picked a new Aetna Advantage plan. Covers more stuff organized my old one and co-pays are less. Worth the $26 additional monthly fee. I left the dressing off my back yesterday. Still putting antiseptic on the wound 2x/day. My skin arou d it is so raw from all the tape for all.rhese months. I don't think it's completely closed but there is almost no drainage. I mean like close to none! I'm thinking that maybe it needs to air out to completely close. I'm keeping a close eye on it. My skin around the wound is so raw that it doesn't feel great against my clothes. I keep putting lotion on it. This girl.

If you do have to put a bandage back on try to put something bigger than what you have been using so that the skin that is raw doesn't get covered with the tape again, even if you have to go to a gauze pad and tape. Fabric tape helps some, but that adhesive is what usually causes problems. It does help. It's great that you are close to your grand nephews. I love that picture of Co!
