How fun is this? (Yes-another kitchen pic!)…. Posted by Cindy on 11/15/2025, 2:57 pm Ken’s mom had this chicken and we inherited it when his parents had an estate sale. I have never been a fan of chickens-so it was in a cabinet for at least 25 years until I had to clean the cabinets out to be painted. Ken and I both got rather fond of this chicken as I had her sitting out in our living room! I decided to let her sit on my new countertop until I find a different spot for her! Right now we kind of like her and enjoy seeing her displayed!

She might hold a few peppernuts-but I can’t see her holding very many regular size cookies. But then who has cookies just sitting around? Not me! If they are in this house they would get eaten rather quickly!

Probably have to make them because I don't know where you would buy just that many. I like to repurpose things. I have an old jam jar with an attached wooden spoon that I love but I have never used a jam jar. I repurposed it into a salt cellar beside my stove. The spoon holds a teaspoon so it is easy for me to season things with it and big enough to take out just a pinch. I'll bet you find a use for it and will love it.
