The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"

1. Online shopping! I do not go out and add to the Black Friday shopping madness! Love Amazon. I am waiting for a decorative bamboo cutting board that I will display on my countertop.
2. My mother in laws 1950’s set of 3 mixing bowls. Like her chicken cookie jar, I had these heavy (crock type material) bowls in a cabinet. Ken mentioned them and wondered what ever became of them. I looked in a cabinet and sure enough we have them. He said he remembers his mom using them when he was little, so I pulled them out and have them displayed on the countertop as well. It’s kind of a homage to his mom.
3. Time off with Ken. He was feeling rough yesterday so we didn’t go to Jessica’s. She had a lot of delicious food there so it’s probably a good thing we didn’t go.
4. Hearing Ken laugh when he watches funny videos on YouTube. I never get tired of that.
5. This day and all it has to offer us. God is good.

29 degrees and bright, bright sunshine! Love it!
Carin sent pics of their Thanksgiving. They all look genuinely connected and happy.
Scored a wonderful seat at La Scala in Milan! The tickets for Turandot (featuring Nessun Dorma...my favorite male aria sung by Pavarotti...posted this before) went on sale yesterday. I've had that date bookmarked for months! Just a repeat of my relationship with La Scala. Almost 20 years ago, I framed a beautiful print of the opera house and called it my 'promise picture'...a promise that one day I would attend an opera there. I'd never traveled overseas then.
So, the April trip has switched from Paris and London to Italy and Paris. There were no direct flights to Milan so I decided to leave a couple days early and fly to Rome instead (where there are direct flights). I've been to Rome 2x and have never done it 'right.' People love Rome and I haven't. I'll have 2.5 days there to get it right. I think that will mean 'absorbing'the city instead of running to all the tourist sites. I've done that already.
Then, on April 14th, I'll take the train to Milan for the Opera. I'll take the train to Paris on the 16th, the first day I have reserved the Airbnb. I'll return home from there instead of London. So, the extra days are before Paris instead of after.
Thanks for sharing in my travel plans. Bill could care less so I really don't have anyone to get excited with. Hoping having all of this in place will motivate me to get back on track!
I love ….

Hearing about your travels! I don’t even go out to eat or go to a movie on my own-so I have to live vicarious through your adventures. So proud of you for being such an adventurous spirit!
