The stuffed animals are given to first responders to help calm children during an emergency. 2. I had a delightful early dinner with a colleague from the school where I taught 30+ years. Sometimes, I miss teaching so much. 3. Saturday morning, we left the house around 6:15 to see as many houses as possible before they turned off their Christmas lights. We're thinking we need to go walking in the evening to see more. 4. I found a pair of red shoes on Amazon to complete my Christmas outfit. I hope they fit and are comfortable. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I love seeing all the Christmas lights up. This town used to go all out, but the last couple of years, there were not many houses lit up. I want to get out and see what is up this year. Unfortunately, I'm not up to walking it right now, but that is what I used to do every year. Red shoes sound so exciting. I hope they fit and are comfortable. I love the convenience of online ordering but it can often be hit or miss with shoes for me.

Dulles is my preferred airport but there were way fewer options at the mileage points I wanted to use. Have to fly to Zurich and connect to Rome. Returning, I don't ever want to fly in and out of Newark but, it was my only option. I'm good with Zurich but will keep watching to see if I can get a better flight home through Dulles instead of Newark. Joan is back and had a great Thanksgiving Cindy is feeling better Getting a second opinion on some repair work I need done. The first estimates sounded crazy high AND I have to keep on them to answer questions. THAT drives me nuts and doesn't bode well for the job going forward. 'Love, Actually ' Looking forward to watching it. I love this movie! All my favorites...Hugh Grant,Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth and crazy Bill Nighy.

We are lucky that my husband has a lot of connections, but we are still looking for painters. Every single one we have contacted wants 3 to 4 times the going rate from one month ago. The bad thing is that December is generally a slow month, and contractors are hungry, so they usually lower prices. I guess they have decided to try to make a month's worth of money with one or two jobs. We will do it ourselves before we pay those outrageous prices. We had some pretty high prices for other things also, but we were able to find people who are still asking normal prices for most of it. We had one guy who wanted $29,000.00 to install a new AC unit, and we provide the unit. NEXT! All the ducts and wiring are already done; the unit just needs to be set, hooked up, and coolant added. It is less than an hour of work, and we know what it usually costs. He kept saying, "But I'm really good." I know it is frustrating, but keep shopping. I really enjoy Love, Actually every year. I am glad that you were able to change your tickets to get in the opera you want to see. I hope you have good luck with Dulles.
