It’s been so cold On our way to Columbia for my pre op appointment and CT scan of my shoulder. Wanting to do some nice drive through Christmas lights. Warming fast since the sun came out. I hope it does where you are. I hope that the trip, tests, and CT are not too much for you today. Maybe the Christmas lights will help get you in the mood. I am in the same boat. I told my husband I want to drive around and see the lights tonight.

I have my last at 9:30. After that we leave for home. I don’t know if I will feel like doing the lights in St Louis but I’m guessing I will be too tired. I am so ready for this surgery The last few days have gotten very hard. I don’t know what’s happened but I’m having what feels like sharp nerve pains run down my arm from my shoulder. I guess it’s just gotten worse and maybe pressing on a nerve? I don’t know but it’s very painful. Can barely. Lift it. Putting deodorant on is an event. When you’re ready for surgery you know. I made it there! I still hate that I have to have it but I’m ready. If they called me with a cancellation tomorrow I’d do it. Sorry for rambling on

I am so happy to find shortcuts that work great and don't have a lot of chemicals that set off bad asthma attacks with me. The silicone mats I found for my oven to keep the bottom clean. I rarely have to run the cleaning cycle these days because the bottom and glass seem to get dirtier than the rest. I am all about less cleaning. If something drips all over the oven, then cooks on, just take it out when it cools, rinse it off, dry it and put it back in. Everything just comes right off. If you are interested, I posted a link to CindyH above. My skin is getting back to normal. Everything got so dry and cracked while I was sick. My hands, feet and lips were especially dry, peeling and cracked. Warmer weather today. It was already higher than yesterday's high when I took Poppy out this morning. All of you ladies.

Amazon and Walmart also sell the 4- and 6-packs of the tiny ones. Another favorite is My Favorite Night Balm from Bath and Body Works. They are usually half price or 2 for 1 during this time of year. When my skin gets this bad, I like Nivea Intense Healing lotion. It is thick, but thatis okay in winter and when my skin gets so bad after running a fever. I have super dry skin that hates winter and fevers.

I read it was really good. I just got in a tub of aquaphor (really thick) for my feet. Have you used it??

I used to use Posted by Delta on 12/18/2025, 1:59 pm, in reply to "Delta " aquaphor but it never really did much for me. My son thinks it is a miracle for him. I have trouble finding things that help much but also don't cause a reaction. I am always so grateful when I find things that work for me.

My boss loved her Christmas present Knowing Co is at daycare running all over the place! Makes me smile. Food? Well, I have not binged in days which is good but, I'm still haven't been able to totally get back on track. Work in progress toward. Bev's Colonoscopy will behind her today (pun intended!)

Sometimes retirement makes us forget that feeling. It is a huge step that you have not binged in days. Feel that instead of downing yourself up for not being totally on track. I read a blog this week by a woman who has lost over 100 lbs and kept it off for years. She said if she were starting now, she wouldn't worry about specific rules for what she could and couldn't eat; she would just wake up every day with the intention of getting the best nutrition into her body before she allowed herself to have anything that wasn't the best for her. She said she would write everything down, and at the end of the day, she would calculate it and see if she felt that she was okay with ruining all her good work for the day or if she wanted to fit some small serving of something that she was craving into her day. She said that when she learned that it freed her to have the junk if she wanted it, but she most often decided that she didn't want it, and it was a much better feeling than thinking that she couldn't have things or that she wasn't on plan and failing herself so often. I have really been mulling all that over because it makes a lot of sense. Allowing things and making choices sometimes makes it a lot easier to say no instead of being so strict and wanting to rebel. I am a rebel, so that has not been working for me very well. She also said that she would never again allow herself to make a plan that she couldn't live with all the time, for the rest of her life. What kind of eating could you live with forever and still get to and stay at your goal? Love your pun! Co at daycare also makes me smile after all the great pics. I wish I could find Poppy a place like that. She loves playing with other dogs or the cat.
