Got a steroid shot and antibiotics today. Was getting worse quick. My surgeons office called this morning with a cancellation Jan 7 but when she heard my voice and I coughed she said “we better not even try “.

Happy new year to everyone! I’m missing our traditional party sadly with wonderful homemade Chinese food. Sounds so good too. All the friends and family. Oh well there’s next year and I will have lost a good amount of weight by then! I sure hope so

I hope that the antibiotics and steroid help quickly. This has been a strange holiday season for so many people that I know because of sickness.

Hannah’s daughter is running 101.5 now. She just messaged me don’t know why.
Sunshine! We have had a lot of cloudy and foggy days strung in a row. Sunshine is so nice!
So far, it is up to 53° today. Two days of barely above freezing is enough for right now. I live in the south for a reason.
The worst of the coughing is gone. I still have some chest congestion when I get up, but it is so much better than having a 24/7 hard cough. This has been going on for three weeks.
I found Great American Family for $29 a year and decided to try it. My husband tried to convince me that we couldn't get it because we didn't have cable. I kept trying to tell him that it is also on Roku and we have Roku, but he tried for ages and couldn't get it to come up without paying again in the den. I walked into the living room and had it working in less than 5 minutes. The den TV is new, and it must not be set up correctly. It's fine. I can watch it in the living room. It's cozier anyway.
I am in the process of switching to green tea, sometimes with just a few drops of raw honey, and sometimes without, as an alternative to coffee. So far, my stomach feels better.
1) they will reschedule Dad's stress test due to him having this wicked cold going around
2) I don't have the cold too bad - poor Ray on the other hand has barely stopped coughing. I went to the drug store and got him meds this morning
3) off from work tomorrow at the radio
4) Ray plans to cook himself up a nice steak tonight and salmon with buttercup squash for me. We'll watch the Country NYE show and that's our big night
5) got my nails done yesterday (fingers and toes) and got to catch up with my friend Courtney which was nice
